Exploring Local Parks

by ~ShiningSoulYoga~

To me, Daylight Savings time is an indicator that the long and warm days of summer are not all that far away. I love to take advantage of the extra hour of sunset by visiting one of our many local parks with Ron and our dogs… after all, you can never spend too much time outside.

One of our favorite local parks is Greenway Meadows in Princeton, New Jersey. Located at 275 Rosedale Road in Princeton, the unsuspecting park is actually a beautiful oasis of rolling hills, open space and towering pine trees. While not a huge park, there are a few different trails that you can lose yourself in for a while, stopping at one of the many benches made out of natural wood to take in the pretty landscape.

Pictured above, the trails are punctuated with various poems and quotes, which makes for an interesting walk. Definitely a beautiful place to visit if you are in the Princeton area. Since I only discovered the park last fall, I am excited to see it in the spring time!

Take advantage of this extra hour of sunlight by spending time outdoors, wherever you are. Time spent in the fresh air and sunshine does a world of good for your body and spirit, and can ease stresses that are brought on by long days at work, etc. I try to treat evenings like mini-vacations every night, because why wait until the weekend to take advantage of what is around you?

Enjoy the extra hour of sunshine and make the most of it!
