If there were two words I had to choose when describing Prague, the city my family is from, it would be mysterious and beautiful. The largest city and capital of the Czech Republic, Prague is said to be in existence for approximately 1,100 years. It was founded during the Gothic era, and came into its own by the Renaissance, which contributes to a wealth of breathtaking architecture ranging from dark and gothic castles to colourful and whimsical churches and houses.
I have been lucky enough to spend my summers in Prague since I was an infant, and as a result the city is as familiar to me as an old friend. It is one of those places that no matter how many times you have been there, it is impossible to overlook the beauty of the architecture of the city. Coffee shops and restaurants are located in centuries old buildings, and every corner you turn brings a new sight to behold. Here are a collection of photos from our latest trip to that beautiful city. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will let these speak for themselves.
