In my opinion, Savasana can be one of the most difficult poses in yoga to get comfortable with. After years of doing yoga, I still struggle with it – some days more than others. Similarly to the photo above, there are days when my thoughts are just all over the place and I cannot still my mind no matter how much I try to.
I think one of the most important things about Savasana is accepting where you are on that given day. If it is impossible to quiet your thoughts, acknowledge it and try to focus on your breath. Just like any yoga pose, every day is different and you need to honor where you are! If you try to fight your scrambling mind, you wont win. Just be patient, observe, acknowledge and enjoy this quiet time you are taking for yourself.
